HOW TO FIT A KIDS BIKE HELMET

Every child should wear a helmet when riding a bike. Helmets are designed to absorb a lot of the energy during an impact and could make all the difference to a head injury in the event of an accident. As long as the helmet is well fitted and correctly worn it can be effective in protecting your child from small falls as well as more serious accidents involving other vehicles.

To make sure that the helmet will fit snugly and correctly you need to measure the circumference of your child's head. To do this use a measuring tape and put it just above the eyebrows and then go all the way round the head in an even loop.

PUKY Child Helmets come in 3 sizes

XS - 44cm to 49cm (Red only)
S/M – 46cm to 51cm
M/L -  52cm to 58cm

Your child should find the helmet comfortable to wear although the helmet should not move when they shake their head. Make sure that the helmet in no way covers the eyes and affects their sight. They should also be able to hear well whilst wearing the helmet. You should always immediately replace the helmet if it is damaged in any way and continually check it for fit as your child grows.

Finally, always remember to check the instructions for fitting advice or if still not sure if you have fitted the helmet correctly then please ask you local bike shop for advice.
